Kankul
khal is a pass situated 18 kms from Kakbhusadi lake. This pass can be only
approach by Kakbhusandi tal trek route. The Kankul pass situated at a altitude
of 5230 mt, in the lap of snow capped peaks. Deovan , Bidhan and many other
peaks coverd this ridge , on the other right hand it is situated behind Hathi -
Ghodi - Palki peaks and , infront of it the challenging Mana peak can be
approach by this trek route. Near by this pass there is a beautiful crystal
clear lake, very deep and cold and freezed till starting May month.
A magnificent view of snow clapped peaks / lakes / beautiful passes and springs
made this valley glourious and beautiful.
Kakbhusandi Tal Situated at the altitude of 5000m., near Kankul Pass; almosy a
kilometer in length. Myraid blossoms decorate its banks during the season with
some of the wildest profusion of colours and make one forget the hardships and
the exhaustion of the trek, the lake is surrounded by snow capped peaks, and its
clear blue water is shining in a meadow full of Brahmakamal and other flowers.
The lake is set up in the lap of the Hathi Parwat.
The trek route is in glacial moraines and slippery rocks over a long distance
from Kakbhusandi to the Valley of Flowers.

Day
1 : Rishikesh - Joshimath : Drive 8 / 9 hrs :
Today Morning after Breakfast drive to Joshimath. The entire drive is along the
Alaknanda river till we reach Joshimath. Enroute stop at Devprayag,Rudraprayag,
Karanprayag and Nandaprayag, the most famous confluences of Garhwal Himalayas.
Arrive Joshimath and transfer to Hotel. Dinner & Over night hotel.
Day
2: Joshimath to Baldora, 10 km drive & 5 km trek to Painka a
beautiful village situated in the lap of nature (lunch time), explore the
village further trek 3 kmto Khaldhar top, shelter spot in summer of paika
villages, beautiful small meadow .overnight in camp.
Day
3: 6 km trek to Gaucha Udiyar with packed lunch, overnight in camp.
Trek through dense forest and later one have to cross the spring coming from the
Barmal Peak, further our trek leads up and down till we reach to Gaucha Udiyaar
(Cave). O/N- Camp.
Day
4: 5 km trek to Kakbhusandi and overnight in camp.
Situated at the altitude of 4345m., the lake is surrounded by snow capped
peaks,and its clear blue water is shining in a meadow full of Brahmakamal and
other flowers.The lake is set up in the lap of the Hathi Parwat. while on the
way one have to cross Bhunar river, which comes from the sources of the Mana
range & Hathi Glaciers.

5: Trek to Kankul Khal via tipla kharak : 18km trek : O/N - Camp.
Today if your physical fitness is fit , we can make a enchanting and
unforgettable tips to Kankul pass only 18 kms trek from Kakbhusandi, the trail
is steep while crossing the Kunta khal (glacier) and many small springs to reach
Kankul khal. The area is full of dramatic seen, covering all four corners with
glourious lofty peaks. The cover you as you feel they just fall down at you, the
magnificent views of flora and fauna and roaring voice of glaciers waters and
springs make this area romantic scenery.
Day 6 : Trek 2 km to Kankul Pass . Explore the Kankul Khal valley. O/N - Base Camp
Day 7 : Trace you step back to Kakbhusandi tal. O/N - Camp.
Day 8 : Today we trek 6 km to Raj Kharak, via crossing the Rajkharak glacier , source from Hathi and Ghodi Peak. After crossing glacier we descend down to Raj Kharak a beautiful meadow with lush green grass and blooming with pretty flowers. overnight in camp.
Day
9: 9 km trek to Bhundar, overnight in camp.
From Raj kharak we trek down through dense
forest and after crossing Bhunar Ganga and Laxman Ganga we reach to Bhunar
village. We explore the village. O/N - Camp.
To trek to the Valley of Flowers is also a good option.3 more days from Bhundar:
first to Ghangaria, then to the Valley of Flowers, then back to Joshimath.
Day
10 : 7 km trek to Govindghat, where our coach / jeep will be waiting
for us,further motor road to Joshimath, overnight in hotel.

11: JOSHIMATH / RISHIKESH DRIVE: 08 - 09 HRS O/N:HOTEL
We continue our journey to Rishikesh. O/N - Hotel / Camp
