Rhododendron Trek: : Duration: 5 Days    Region: Uttaranchal  Dates: March 19th - 23rd

A short easy trek running parallel to the high Himalayas. With good views all the way, picturesque camping by the lake at Devariyatal and some beautiful deciduous forests. In the early spring the rhododendron forests glow red as the flowers bloom. An easy introductory trek with gradual ascents and descents that are ideal for slower walkers.

The Kuari pass (3840 m) is probably the best window from which to view the high Himalayan peaks. The views of numerous six and seven thousand meter peaks including Nanda Devi (7817 m) are simply breathtaking. This trek also takes us past remote villages and settlements where we view local traditions and customs first hand.
